Do we know for sure that Sonny J isn’t just another funky alias for Mr. Cook
I heard some snippets from the album, it sounds rather promising. Nice tracks.
Smooth! Nice mash-up. Thanks for sharing.
12 June 2008 at 21h46 in reply to: The Real Roxanne – Roxanne’s On A Roll (Norman Cook Remix) #13033I am currently a bit puzzeled (as I do not have all their cd’s with me at the moment). In what track have the Chemical Brothers used the “1,2,3,4,5,6” sample?
Edit:
I think I remember again: it is the B-side (Base 6) of the Star Guitar single.Well its with shame that i have a phone of 2000’s .. no internet function.. just a phone with you can…phone
Seems we have the same phone
Mine also SOUNDS like a phone (ring, ring.. ring, ring). One may guess whether it is part of a great PR stunt. The BPA album will be titled “We’re gonna need a bigger boat“, and Norman has just bought a nice yacht :D :

..on the BPA MySpace there is also comment by Micky Slim. He has made a Toe Jam remix too:
In between my toooooooes :)
Cant wait to hear the album, remixing Toe jam was an absolute pleasure, cant thank you enough :)
How many Toe Jam remixes will follow? As we did not hear the Cagedbaby or Stanton Warriors mix, FBS has perhaps played a Micky Slim mix after the Micky Slim Jump-mix.
I discovered there is a nice Toe Jam remix on the MySpace of the Stanton Warriors: http://www.myspace.com/stantonwarriors (although not the particular remix we’re looking for from the Rockness-set).
Well, FND.. drop the new vid on your site! It’s ‘f*ckin’ perfect’! ;-)

My Portuguese is not as good as it should be ;) but as far as I understand from this site: http://rraurl.uol.com.br/cena/5311/Brasileiros_remixando_novas_do_Fatboy_Slim
there will be remixes of BPA tracks by The Twelves (http://www.myspace.com/the12s), Yuksek (http://www.myspace.com/yuksek) and Database (http://www.myspace.com/databasetrax).One of these days, the new video will be broadcasted on the BPA MySpace videochannel:

Thanks! It works :yes2:
We can add a new name to the BPA line-up:
Conan Mockasin on tour
Conan Mockasin, formally Conan and the Mockasins is back in town and playing a few shows later this month
From Conan: ? I couldn’t write a press release. I spent all of yesterday trying but it was too cringy, so here is a letter instead.
Name change from ‘and the mockasins’ to just ‘mockasin’ because I haven’t had a fixed band for about eight months now. The band changes nearly every show. I got bored of playing the same 60’s type blues. Guitar solos aren’t interesting me so much now so I needed a change.
Just before coming home from the UK I did a stint of acting (as myself) in an Alexis Dos Santos film called ‘Unmade Beds’ which should be out soonish. I also did a song with Norman Cook, (Fatboy Slim) which comes out this September on his new album called ‘Brighton Port Authority’. The album also includes Jamie T, Iggy Pop, Martha Wainwright, and one of my favourites, David Byrne from Talking Heads. So that’s pretty exciting for me!
Since then I’ve been back in NZ working on my album. I feel lucky to get away from London to write and record here! I’ve also started work on a soundtrack for a local short film called ‘Six Dollar Fifty Man’. And while I have a workshop I’ve been inventing and building electric mechanical instruments to take back to the UK. But Before then I’m looking forward to doing a few small, intimate shows. Hence the ‘press release’!http://undertheradar.co.nz/utr/more/NID/883/Conan_Mockasin_on_tour.utr
