Proper mystery this one – I kept thinking it sounded like a pitched up Monkery Mafia tune – but I’ve had a quick skim thru the Shoot the Boss (1998) CD and i cant match it to anything on there…
… we will keep searching Fat Fans!!!

Hey SPF,
All the digging around on the web seems to indicate this may unfortunately be one of those in-house ad campaign compositions.
Shame, cos it sounds good, hoping i’m wrong about this one.

Nice one SPF!
This tune defo has that ‘super-happy’ feel that I personally associate with Norms dj sets, nice and simple, shiney happy funky music – not tied into genres and sub genres and sub sub genres and… oh you guys catch me drift i’m sure
Right i’m off to listen to some Nu-old wave rave metal funk disco folk music…
…erm… :lol:bb
surface2air –
I think it might well be:
Outcast – ‘Mr. Sandman’ (Kingsize Records 06-Sept-1999)

I did a mobile phone Shazam 2580 which flagged the above, then I found an audio clip on a site offering the MP3 for purchase (above).

thank you my friend, I like the laid back vibe of this one. :hello:

Guys!
Just surfing the web and came across this little curiosity in a blog – it’s a rip of a cassette that featured some Norman Cook productions –
Rockaway Three and The Urban Allstars
so defo worth a squint!bb
Francois,
Thank you very much – aaah it uses the Islley Brothers tune – very nice, that’s pretty good, would be handy to mix into / out of the Islleys.
Brilliant, Im going to defo resume a search for the 12″ vinyl when I get paid at the end of the month, nice one.
kind regard BB

Subject: RE: Album News?Hi Si,
Thanks for the support man, the album drops August, first up there’s the single Smile released end of April then Under The Sun in June to coincide with its sync to a Bacardi ad, Then I think Strong Together will drop.Superbad the movie – genius flick – I personally laughed my moustache off!
Here’s a little splice of Evans Run – Lyle Workman and some dialogue from said movie/soundtrack.

Another ‘Pleasure’ and a nod to my user name.
EnjoyWOKA is da bomb!
This is brilliant, I’ve got it on his Greatest Hits cd – an old rock n roll number Norm cut up for his set intros. Very nice!
Yep On The Floor At The Boutique is definetly his slickest and my fave set, but I also love the Beat Up Thre NME / Electric Proms sets for their electic rawkus-ness erm ness
In the book Fatboy Slim Funk Soul Brother by Martin James
the discography in the back lists Yum Yum Head Foods out-put as:Bird Of Prey / Praise You (white label)
No other track known. Norman claims that his ambient album will be
available as a download via his website.Bear in mind tho, this book was published 2002 and was no way officially
connected to Norm.Bird Of Prey is on the Southern Fried House comp, so i guess Praise You might well be the b-side version off Right Here Right Now single? It has the same drawn out, chill feel at 6:20 in length.
I bet norm has got a stack of stuff he could release retrospectively! What a goldmine eh!!!???
:hello:
