Just to tell everybody, I had my first “real” DJ gig at the FEVA Festival in Knaresborough, and it was a huge success.

I was supporting some local bands from my area, and my 20-minute set I did before one of the bands was greeted to rave reviews.

At first, there was a huge technical hitch with the sound, which chewed up 5 minutes of it all (Because I was using Serato and Vinyl, since everyone else was using the Pioneer CD Decks), but luckily, we got everything working, and it was all hunky-dory!

Everyone loved it, and I even did some self-promotion at the end with placards I’d written (in the style of Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues), as I played “B-Boy Theme” from my new album.

It was a great night, and I will be doing more gigs in the future

      Rory.
