Hey all, went last nite to see Norm and as ever he delivered the goods…
From Norman opening with Amy Winehouse’s “rehab”, to the music going off, to Norm “fisting” along with the crowd, to him performing the obligatory pitch bend on Star 69, it had everything a Fatboy gig usually has…including a few tracks if anyone can identify from my rather hazy drunken recollection, I will be eternally grateful as well as totally impressed.
1 – Only thing I can remember is that it had a sort of latin guitar with male (Spanish) vocals. Possibly Brazillian come to think of it. A bit of a holiday track that built up and up until it kicked into a thumping dance tune….think Santos – Ke Dolor but with a vocal.
2 – A dance remix of Run DMC and Aerosmith – Walk this Way. Dunno if it had any vocal cos he only played it for about a minute or two.
3- A long breakdown with a sort of latin piano riff which kicked into an amazing acid house tune. This was the tune of the night 4 me. Not a lot to go on but thats basically it.
Any help getting id’s for these would be fantastic.
I did take a couple of rather shaky vids which I have watched back today and theyt’re not too great but I will upload to youtube and post links asap.
Thanks in advance Fat-fans…
Love always

Piano Mano by The Drill?
24 May 2009 at 18h11 #14092Absolutely!!! That’s the one, thank you Rory my friend. You are a legend
I’ve just thought of another track…but don’t know how to explain it, and I think it was Arno Cost who played it before Norman came on (I’m afraid I was very drunk)
It had a high pitched noise which was the main riff running throughout (sort of reminded me of Daft Punk – Rolling And Scratching) and then seemed to go, in the breakdown, into a choir, perhaps a childrens choir, then kick back in. Great tune and one that would make any dance floor bounce….
Any ideas anyone???
Thanx again Rory
