im one
and its such a pity fbs isnt doing sum fresh BIG BEAT tunes at the moment
all i have to do is wait… but meanwhile i can listen to others artists big beat songs
i totally luv fbs, the chems, pepe deluxe and more (big beat or not)
thats why i wanna know what artists with big beat genre do u recommend me
i mean fbs like
write soon, thanks in advance :beach:
Actually, Fatboy did a remix of Run DMC’s “Peter Piper” recently, and it is big beat.
Here are my reccomendations or more recent Big Beat and Big Beat-esque stuff:
I would also reccomend Freddy Fresh (who’s worked with FBS before), anybody on Jalapeno Records, anybody on the Bombstrikes label, Kids In Tracksuits, and there are some good new Big Beat-ers on Myspace too.
If your are interested, Check out on my myspace http://www.myspace.com/roryhoy the tracks “Right On (Funk Jam)”, and “The Final Frontier”. The first one is like James Brown with FBS influences, while the second one is more Chillout meets Chemical Brothers.
I hope i’ve been a help!

Hi J!
Altho not 100% big beat exclusively, but with awesome use of samples I would like to highly recomend both:
Wax Tailor
Mexican Institute Of Sound

thanks 4 the cool replies
gotta check em, and rory’s ms for sure
btw im all ears (and eyes) for more big beat recommendations
:crackwhip:
I would recommend you to check out some releases from the current “funky breaks” scene, just like Rory recommended:
For example
– anything on Bombstrikes
– Skeewiff
– A-Skillz
– Feature Cast
– Krafty Kuts
– Aldo Vanucci
– the Wack EP’s by S.M.OV., etc.
It’s not exactly big beat, of course, but has the same “anything goes-lets have a funky paaartaaay” vibe. :D
