This year RTE 2fm’s Oxegen 2010 coverage is bigger and better than at the Punchestown festival! RTE 2fm and its digital sister station, RTE 2XM, will be providing almost 30 hours of live radio music. This will quite simply be the biggest live music radio experience in the country!
RTE 2fm is the only station with full live music, the only one with full web coverage, the only one with a choice of listening, the only one with live on air coverage all weekend and the only one providing music to European radio. RTE 2fm does it to international standards, does it better and does it bigger!
On Friday at 7pm DJs Jenny Greene and Jenny Huston will kick start the weekend of Oxegen’s finest music, acoustic sessions and interviews along with Dan Hegarty, Cormac Battle and Mr Spring.
RTE 2XM starts at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday and RTE 2fm takes over later in the day and runs until the live action finishes.
There’ll be plenty more from the festival on RTE 2fm’s brand new website which will be constantly updated live from the Oxegen site with the live sets, exclusive videos, a festival photo gallery, blog updates etc. As if that wasn’t enough, fans can listen back to lots of live shows online for seven days after Oxegen has finished. Fans can also follow what’s going on at the festival on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/rte2fm
RTE 2fm will be sending all the live music to the 70 radio stations in the Eurosonic group of the European Broadcasting Union, and this year there is an RTE 2fm Stage, co-hosted with Hot Press magazine.
Listeners can get a sneak preview of the festival in the run up to Oxegen as Dan Hegarty presents his Oxegen 2010 highlights throughout the week prior to the festival.
Tune into RTÉ 2fm and RTE 2XM at Oxegen on FM radio, DAB digital radio, Sky channel 0164, NTL channel 902, 944 and online at http://www.2fm.rte.ie
