Yum Yum Head Food – Let’s Not Be like Everybody Else
I know by that:

:grandpa: “oldies” / I don’t know more about this track….
Does anybody know what ever happened to that track? It was once posted on a Fatboy-blog or something, after it was aired on a BBC radio-show.
Or was it just some funny guy who used Norman’s alter ego?
 no idea
I remember hearing it. It did sound like a Norman production… I’ve heard he once produced a chill-out album that he only gave out to friends, and that is where this leaked Yum-Yum Head food material comes from. I think it was genuine, but why it came up there briefly and never resurfaced, I have no idea.
In the book Fatboy Slim Funk Soul Brother by Martin James
the discography in the back lists Yum Yum Head Foods out-put as:
Bird Of Prey / Praise You (white label)
No other track known. Norman claims that his ambient album will be
available as a download via his website.
Bear in mind tho, this book was published 2002 and was no way officially
connected to Norm.
Bird Of Prey is on the Southern Fried House comp, so i guess Praise You might well be the b-side version off Right Here Right Now single? It has the same drawn out, chill feel at 6:20 in length.
I bet norm has got a stack of stuff he could release retrospectively! What a goldmine eh!!!???
:hello:
Too right Big Beat. It’s a sure thing that the Praise you on Right Here Right Now single is the Yum Yum Head Food one.
So that makes three know Yum Yum Head Food tracks: Praise You, Bird of Prey and Let’s Not be like Everybody Else.
I’m sure you’re also right about his backlog. I read somewhere that he claims to bin 2 out of three tracks he starts. I’m sure there is gold there, especially from his Big Beat era.
Is the Yum Yum head food version of Praise You, the same one on the Right Here, Right Now B-Side? I Wonder???
